A great disturbance

It's been nearly a week now, and it still seems nearly incomprehensible with what happened as a result of the tsunami. Every day the toll seems to rise yet another 25,000 and it would seem it shows no sign of slowing down. Part of me is amazed at the outpouring of support from [...]

Kids these days

I don't know what's worse; them ripping on Star Wars or in general constantly appalled at the fact that when you died, you had to start over with another quarter in the machine. They have cellphones, yet they wouldn't even pay a quarter to be in an arcade to play these old games.

Updated nitpicks

The updated and probably final nitpick guide to the LOTR movies and EE's are up. There are others, but this one seems to point out a ton of little details here and there that in the end just make you feel like the movies as a whole where horrible compared to the books.

As if Orion needed any better images…

The latest in kick-ass, earth based telescope technology captures the most awesome images of M42 to date by using infrared.
I don't know why, but that first image just blows me away. It's not even what's supposed to be the really impressive part of it all, but I think it's because it reminds me of [...]

Way too cold out there

That just isn't right. January and February chills before we can even have a white xmas. I can feel the cold coming through the walls.

I love ignorance

It's refreshing to me knowing that there are people out there who are completely clueless, yet adamant on the disposition that they know everything. I'm not saying I'm the best, but I at least try my best to understand a situation before making an ass of myself.
Such is the case I just saw on a [...]
