Except for my place. This is very wierd. Got home from work tonight a little bit later than usual and was extremely tired. So I went to bed. Well, I wake up at 9pm or so to a whole lot of shouting outside. Then I notice the strobing red and blue on my wall. So I look outside and once again it's pitch black out there. Only this time the houses are out, too. I can't even see a house across the street. Everything that I can see, except for my place, the uhaul station and the old train depot is out. It's all very strange to see how power is actually distrubuted when it goes out like this. I feel like I should get out my telescope if it wasn't 0° out there since this is quite the rare opportunity. I think MG&E has got some explaining to do.

I'll tell you one thing. the police directing traffic at the intersection have had it with the idiots driving. “MOVE IT! STOP STOP STOP!!! GET OVER THERE!” At one point I heard one of them yell back in response to a pedestrian asking if she knew why the power was out. Her response, “I haven't heard a thing…but I tell you what. I can hear better than these people driving their cars!” And then of course, there are idiots honking their horns at someone wondering why they are stopped. Oh the comedy.
