Kick ass…. just like it took forever to get the Nigerian scams, I finally got phished, or it was attempted at least. Got a message from paypal telling me that there were high amounts of attempts to login to my account, showing summaried logs that they were from Romania and Poland. So, the whole thing looks legit, including the usual paypal disclaimers that they'll never ask for passwords in an email, etc, including links to actual privacy pages on paypal's site. EXCEPT…. the one link you're supposed to follow to reset your account and verify that you're currently not living abroad right now, or some stupid thing. The link is to a completely different server that redirects, or possibly frames in the paypal login screen. Yeah, like I'm gonna click that one. I honestly have no idea how that would work, but I can only assume that there's something there that will trap my keystrokes or manage to intercept my posting of login info while looking completely like I'm at the paypal site.

So, just to be sure, I load up paypal and login without following any stupid link. And what do I see on my account page? Nothing.
