So, the AppleTV. It's a mini intel Mac Mini. A mini mini. And right now I have Apache running on it and am trying to get MySQL going as well. If I get that up, I've got myself not only an entertainment device, but my web server as well. Why? It's literally about 1/50th the size of the current machine and consumes about 1/4 the power as well. 15W vs 65W. Not to mention it's about a zillion times faster, but since you don't need that for a web server, it doesn't hurt to have it either.

I'm telling you, this little thing is all the new rage in the hacker community and will continue to be so for a very long time if Apple can just keep its hands off of trying to lock it down in a “feature update” later on down the road a la PSP.
